Ben Pearson Logos has changed over the years, Often as quickly as every two years. Logos are a good way to date printed material, ads, and arrows boxes.

The 1938 catalog had only arrow and arrows components listed. This is the first Ben Pearson Company catalog
The Logo had a target arrow thru the bottom half of "ARROWS OF EXCELLENCE"
This is the only logo that has a target arrow, all other have hunting arrows with broadhead
1939
Changed font. Arrow thru Ben Pearson Name. All capital letters except "n"."B and E" have raised centers over the arrow shaft. The "A" has a pointed top."Bows and arrows of excellence" under the name. Feathers on shaft extend behind the "B" in Ben Pearson.
1940-1942
All capital letters except the "n". There is a arrow shaft thru the center of the name . The "B and E's" have a raised center above the shaft. The "P, A and R" have a lowered center below the shaft.The shaft is in front of the name. The broadhead is a Ben Pearson # Head.
1942-1945
The font and arrow shaft are the same. The difference is "incorporated" is under the name instead of company
1946
The font changes. The point on the arrow shaft changes to a Ben Pearson # 782 head.. The shaft is behind the name. The feathers on the shaft extend behind the "B" in Ben Pearson. The shaft is centered behind the name. The letters are no longer raised or lowered for the shaft. All letters are capitalized except the "n". The broadhead changes to a Ben Pearson # 782 head.
19471947 there were several different logos.
The font changes. The point on the arrow shaft changes to a small head.. The shaft is behind the name. The feathers on the shaft extend behind the "B" in Ben Pearson. The shaft is centered behind the name. The letters are no longer raised or lowered for the shaft. All letters are capitalized except the "n". The "O" is round in Pearson. There are no lines on the feathers. The fetching is in front of the name. This is used in January and February of 1947. In April the logo changes. The broadhead changes The feather are still behind the name and still nave no lines. Pine Bluff, Arknsas is added unded the name
In September the logo changes again. The point on the arrow shaft changes to a Ben Pearson # 782 head.. The shaft is behind the name. The feathers on the shaft extend behind the "B" in Ben Pearson. The shaft is centered behind the name. The feathers have no lines .
1948-1950
1951-1952
The font stays basically the same. The Feathers are in front of the "B" in Ben Pearson. There is no target behind the "O".The shaft is behind and in the center of the name. The feathers still have no lines. The broadhead does not change.The "B,P,E,R, and n" have angles on the ends. Before they were square.
1953-1955
The logo went back to the same as the 48-50 logo
*Note: In 1954 the 302,304, and 306 fiberglass take-downs came out.
1956-1957
In 1956 the phase: "Where Quality Improves Performance" is added to the bottom of the address. The Laminated take down, called window take-down bows came out.(Pre-Bushmaster)
1958-1964
Then font changes again. The arrow shaft is lined up with the center of the name. The shaft is behind the name. The Broadhead changes to a Ben Pearson #789 Head . For the first time all letters are capitalized .
* Note: For the first time Ben Pearson bows were given a name instead of just a number.
The first year of the Bushmaster.
1963 The name and arrow shaft are the same. The Phrase "Where Quality Improves Performance" Is dropped.
1965
After April 1965 the font is the same, but the arrow shaft no longer shows behind the name.
Ads in 1965 have a line under Pine Bluff, Arkansas :Also in Canada: Ben Pearson of Canada, Ltd. Chatham, Ontario
1966
"Archery Tackle Division " is added before Ben Pearson in the ads.
1967
Font is the same. Incorporated is shorten to " Inc.". The broadhead is changes to a Deadhead. The shaft shows behind the name. "Archery Equipment" is now under the Ben Pearson name.
* Note: A circle with a arrow point is the symbol on the Ben Pearson line of Bows . A black circle with a crown is the symbol for the sovereign line of bows. Many of the Ben Pearson bows from this time period still have the sticker with the black circle and arrow point on them. The address changes to: Leisure Group

1968
For a six month period from March until about August. Ads in most magazines had two symbols under the Ben Pearson name. A black circle with a white arrow point is the symbol on the Ben Pearson line of bows. A Black circle with a crown is then symbol for the Sovereign line of bows. This logo appears as early as Jan. in "Archery" magazine and there was one ad I found in a Jan 1969 Magazine. But for the most part it occurs only in the middle months of 1968.

Iron Eyes Cody appears in ads for Pearson bows in 1981. NOTE* One ad states in the first 50 years Ben Pearson made 6 million bows and 200 million arrows. There are a lot of Pearson bows out there.

Ads have "Pearson Pays" usually at the beginning of the ad. "Amarica's Best" is at the end of the ad.
1983
Still all small letters. Name now inside the hoof print. Ben in the top half, pearson in the bottom half.
