The Hoyt Pro Medalistis a classic. It was introduced in1961, designed and patented by Earl Hoyt. The "torque stabilizers
produced a stable and accurate bow. It always has had rare imported hardwoods in it's handle and a perfect finish. These
bows are usually in good condition even after 30 to 40 years of use. Archers respect fine equipment and handle it according.
The last model of the wooden handle Pro Medalist came out in 1971. These pictures came from ads and are not in color, however they will give you an idea of the year your Pro Medalist was made.

The Torque stabilizers were gold plated. The ends were three inches long and flat on the end, later ones were round.
There was one thin lamination through the center of the handle and small built up projections for the stabilizers

It looks like the earlier models, the handle has changed, the thin lamination is behind center on the bow.

The laminations on the front and back are wider and run the lenght of the handle.
The stabilizers are longer, the lination is wider and still behind center on the handle

The shape of the handle stays basicly the same, the lamination moves back to the center of the handle.

There was a blond or light colored wood model in 1970
Same design, but now there is one thin lamination on each side of the center lamination.
The end weights are now flat rings that can be added to match individual preferences.
The rods are straight and come in different lenghts.
A counter weight insert is added on the bottom of the face of the bow

It was the 10th anniversary and the last wood handle Pro Medalist
It was still in magazine ads in 1973
In it's 10 year history the Pro Medalist won first place in most of the major national and internateral tournaments.

In the 1972 Olympics the Pro Medalist T/D metal handle bow won 4 of the 5 medals in archery. Wood handles went out of production.
